INTERVENCIONES DE TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL DIRIGIDAS A LA POBLACIÓN INFANTIL Y ADOLESCENTE CON SOBREPESO Y OBESIDAD. UNA REVISIÓN DE ALCANCE

Resumen
La obesidad infantil y adolescente es considerada una epidemia con graves consecuencias tanto a nivel individual como poblacional. En Chile, el aumento de cifras es alarmante, y las políticas públicas no han logrado detener su ascenso. La obesidad en niños y adolescentes responde a múltiples causas, lo que complica su abordaje; nuevas perspectivas podrían ayudar a explicar y comprender este fenómeno y orientar estrategias de intervención más eficientes. El objetivo es analizar las publicaciones de intervenciones de Terapia Ocupacional en niños, niñas y adolescentes con sobrepeso u obesidad. Se realizó una revisión de alcance, utilizando las directrices PRISMA-ScR junto con las orientaciones del JBI. Se incluyen 7 artículos, todos en inglés, de los cuales el 29% son de acceso abierto y el 71% por suscripción. Las Ocupaciones/Actividades y la Educación/Entrenamiento son los tipos de intervención más utilizados, considerando el entorno escolar, comunitario y familiar como aspectos fundamentales. Existe una baja cantidad de artículos sobre este tema, siendo la mayoría de acceso limitado. Se describen lineamientos básicos de intervenciones de Terapia Ocupacional, destacando que las actividades significativas promueven cambios en rutinas y hábitos que favorecen estilos de vida saludables.
